We took the challenge of starting a new company during pandemic. With foresight & passion we have transformed the way tech is being used by smallholder farmers across geography. Being customer-centric all throughout the journey, Farmneed remains contextual in terms of its tech, approach to the sector & from the pricing standpoint. In our third year of operation, we have successfully rolled out multi-country operations & now adding a footprint in other continent.
Not just weather data, need for weather implications in agriculture was felt by the founding team of Farmneed in during the early days. In the aftermath of climate change, smallholders’ challenges have increased in manifolds. It includes abiotic stress, water scarcity or even an increase in catastrophic events.
Farmneed is founded using legacy tech platform of Express Weather & it marries crop science with micro weather data to develop farm & crop wise risk mitigation strategy, especially to safeguard crops from weather vagaries.
