Job Overview: We are seeking an initiative-taking and purposeful Sales Manager to lead our Fresh Fruits & Vegetables (F&V) B2B sales operations. The role involves driving sales growth, building strong client relationships, and expanding our market presence across HoReCa, food processors, supermarkets, aggregators, e-commerce, and Q-commerce companies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing hotels, supermarkets, and aggregators with a proven history in sales and business development in the Maharashtra market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
• Identify and acquire new clients in HoReCa, food processors, e-commerce platforms, Q-commerce companies, supermarkets, and aggregators.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
• Manage and grow key accounts, ensuring repeat business and long-term partnerships.
2. Client Relationship Management
• Build and nurture strong relationships with procurement managers, chefs, category managers, and supply chain teams.
• Understand customer requirements regarding quality, variety, pricing, and delivery timelines, and offer tailored solutions.
• Resolve client concerns promptly to ensure service satisfaction and strengthen retention.
3. Market & Category Development
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing dynamics in fresh fruits & vegetables.
• Develop and implement category-specific sales plans to increase market share.
• Collaborate with sourcing and procurement teams to align supply with customer demand.
4. Operations & Coordination
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment in coordination with supply chain and logistics teams.
• Monitor quality compliance of fresh produce as per customer specifications.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to maintain efficient inventory management and minimize wastage.
Requirements:
• MBA in Agribusiness Management or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales of fresh fruits & vegetables or agri-inputs.
• Prior experience managing hotels, supermarkets, aggregators, and HoReCa clients is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the Maharashtra market is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with cross-functional teams.
